Knapp drei Wochen waren Nelson und Sebastian im November und Dezember mit dem Team der Hamburger Produktionsfirma nonfictionplanet unterwegs, um im Auftrag des NDR für mareTV die schönsten Bilder und spannensten Geschichten hier in Patagonien und Feuerland einzufangen. Das Ergebnis könnt Ihr am 2. Februar 20:15 Uhr auf dem NDR in der Sendung mareTV sehen: "Feuerland: Fjorde Gletscher Pinguine". Wer an diesem Tag keine Zeit hat -keine Sorge- kann auch gern zur Wiederholung am 6. Februar 15:15 Uhr ebenfalls auf dem NDR oder aber auch am 9. Februar 16:30 Uhr auf 3Sat einschalten. In November and December Nelson and Sebastian spent about three weeks accompanying the production firm nonfictionplanet, who on behalf of the German network NDR captured the most beautiful places and most exciting stories of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego for the program mareTV. The result is to be seen on February 2, on NDR at 8:15 p.m.: "Tierra del Fuego: Fiords Glaciers Penguins". If you are busy that day, not to worry, it will be repeated on February 6, 3:15 p.m., also on NDR and on February 9, 4:30 p.m. on 3Sat.  2. Black Sheep - aktuelle Artikel und nützliche Trekkinginformationen

Black Sheep - current articles and useful trekking information 

Auch in unserer Nachbarstadt bewegt sich Einiges. Seit dem 1.Dezember gibt es das "Black Sheep". Die erste englischsprachige Zeitung in Puerto Natales. Sie erscheint monatlich und versorgt den interessierten Traveller mit aktuellen Berichten aus Puerto Natales und einer Vielzahl nützlicher Informationen, die einen Trip in den Nationalpark Torres del Paine wesentlich erleichtern. Noch gibt es keine Online-Ausgabe aber das wird kommen, so Rustyn Mesdag, der Editor dieser Zeitung. Wer nicht so lange warten möchte, kann die Redaktion derweil unter blacksheepchile@gmail.com erreichen.

Our charming neighbor Puerto Natales has some news as well: Since December 1st they have the "Black Sheep". It's the first newspaper in English in Puerto Natales and it is being published once a month. It offers heaps of information for the interested traveler on Puerto Natales as well as on Torres del Paine National Park, making a trip to the park much easier and even much more fun! There is no online edition yet, but it's on its way, as Rustyn Mesdag, the papers editor, confirmed us.  3. Besucherrekord im Torres del Paine Nationalpark

Record attendance in Torres del Paine National Park 

2005 war wieder ein Jahr der Rekorde. Der Strom an begeisterten Trekkern in den Nationalpark Torres del Paine reißt nicht ab. In diesem Jahr ist die Besucheranzahl nochmals um rund 10% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr gestiegen. Laut CONAF Statistik haben im Jahr 2005 sage und schreibe 106.262 Menschen den Nationalpark besucht. Auf der einen Seite natürlich ein Grund zum Freuen, auf der anderen Seite steht immer öfter eine Frage im Raum: wie viele Besucher verkraftet der Park? Noch gibt es keine Antwort. Die Tatsache, dass die Frage allerdings zur Diskussion steht und man sich so zumindest mit dem Thema auseinandersetzt, ist jedoch sehr erfreulich.

2005 is another year of records. The stream of excited tourists entering "Torres del Paine" does not break away. This year the number of visitors increased by about 10%, compared to the previous year. CONAF Statistics inform that in 2005 a total of 106,262 persons have visited the park. On one hand that obviously is a reason to be happy, on the other hand one question keeps popping up: how many visitors can the park cope with? There is no answer yet, but the fact that this question is out for discussion and people start dealing with the subject is a very good beginning.

 4. Nach der Saison ist vor der Saison: Neue Trekkingtermine 2006 / 07

After the season is before the season: new trekking dates 2006/07 online 

Auch dieses Jahr haben wieder viele von Euch Patagonien mit einem tränenden Auge nach einer tollen Trekkingerfahrung verlassen. Grund genug für uns, um Vorbereitungen zu treffen, dass auch 2006 / 07 wieder zu einem voller Erfolg wird und viele Outdoor-Liebhaber mit unseren Trekkingtouren die atemberaubensten Naturschönheiten Patagoniens auf den beliebtesten Pfaden in den Nationalparks Torres del Paine und Los Glaciares und auch in noch nicht so bekannten Gegenden, wie im Gebiet ums Cabo Froward oder auf der Isla Navarino erleben können.

Many of you have left Patagonia with a tear in the eye - after experiencing great hikes and trekking tours in Patagonia. For us that's reason enough to plan ahead and make sure to reach the same success in 2006 / 2007. This way we can let outdoor-lovers live the dream of exploring the most beautiful Patagonian national parks.

 5. Volle Fahrt voraus im Marketing mit Dania

Seit Anfang Januar haben wir Verstärkung bekommen: Dania aus dem schönen Norden Deutschlands wird für 5 Monate hier bei uns in Punta Arenas ein Praktikum absolvieren, das Teil ihres Studiums "European Business Studies" ist und uns dabei unterstützen eine Vielzahl neuer Reiseideen in die Tat umzusetzen. My picture from Patagonia 

Du hast hier in Patagonien das Bild der Bilder geschossen? Viel zu schade, wenn es nur auf Deinem Rechner "verstaubt"! An dieser Stelle möchten wir Euch die Chance bieten Eure Fotos zu veröffentlichen. Vielleicht auch mit einer kleinen Geschichte. Die Rechte über die Fotos bleiben dabei natürlich ganz klar bei Euch.

Diesmal: Ralph und das Guanaco
"Wer schon einmal versucht hat ein Foto von sich und einem Guanaco zu schießen, weiß wie schwierig das ist. Die Jungs sind nämlich ganz schön schnell unterwegs! Um so schöner war der Augenblick, als ich die Möglichkeit hatte, dieses Foto zu machen. Auf meiner letzten Tour nach El Chaltén hab ich bei einem Busstopp dieses domestizierte Guanaco "getroffen" und das liess sich dann auch ohne Probleme fotografieren. Aber eins solltet Ihr selber herausfinden: Wie es sich anfühlt ein Guanaco zu streicheln !!! :-)"

"Who once tried to get a shot with a Guanaco, knows how difficult it is. These guys are pretty fast! The more I enjoyed the moment when I finally got the chance to take this photo. My last trip to El Chaltén brought me to an Estancia where I "met" this domesticated Guanaco and it made it easy for me to have the picture taken. But there is one thing you should figure out for yourself: How it is to pet a Guanaco !!! :-)"
