The Andes divide Patagonia in two: the vast Pampa in the East,
and a network of channels and fjords in the West.
The best way to discover the Patagonian Channels is to take
the Navimag ferry from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales (or the other
way around). It's a passenger and cargo ship that connects the
End of the World with the rest of it - or let's say, at least with
the rest of Chile. In the last few years the 3-day journey from
Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales becomes more and more popular amongst
traveles. It takes you throught one of the most isolated parts of
Earth, where the Andes mountains grow right out of the Pacific Ocean.
