Overview
Let us invite you to stay at our Bed & Breakfast "Hospedaje Magallanes" while you are in Punta Arenas.
We have 4 quiet double rooms with comfy beds, making for a good night's sleep. Our 8 guest maximum share 2 guest bathrooms.
Our great German-Chilean home-made breakfast with real coffee and real German bread is the right start for a new day and your next adventure here at the End of the World.
We are right in the heart of Punta Arenas, only 5 blocks from the Plaza, close to bus stops, restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and shopping in general.
Being travelers ourselves, we know about the importance of having a hot shower available 24 hours a day, facilities for getting your laundry done and first hand information on where to go and what to see in Patagonia & Tierra del Fuego.
In our full-on in-house travel agency, Turismo Aonikenk, we can set you up with pretty much everything Patagonia & Tierra del Fuego have to offer.
In the evening, we often get together with our guests and some of our local and international friends for a communal dinner, around the campfire or a Patagonian-style BBQ in our backyard, or simply to exchange some travel stories.
By the way:
Hospedaje Magallanes is not only our Bed & Breakfast, and -as we said earlier- the annex to our Travel Agency, but also in the same building, where we, Marisol & Sebastian, live with our sons Tobias and Lukas and our cute, little dogs Rosita and Emma.

Different countries, different languages and different cultures...
Hospedaje Magallanes. What is the right word for it? We call it Bed & Breakfast, but sometimes people spell that bed and breakfast, bed 'n' breakfast or B&B. In some countries it would rather be called guest house, guesthouse, guest rooms, hostel, homestay, home-stay, private-stay, lodging and so on. Not that easy! We tried finding the right word for it, but in different English speaking countries and even in different parts of the world, there seem to be different words for quite similar means of accommodation. Well, there might be minor technical differences, but for us, they all seem to mean pretty much the same thing and don't keep us from making your stay with us in Punta Arenas as pleasant as possible. And that's the idea and part of our lifestyle!

We're right downtown Punta Arenas. Find the "Unimarc" supermarket (the locals still refer to it as the former "Abu Gosch Centro"). The street, where the parking lot of the supermarket is at, is called "Magallanes". It's a one way street. Follow the direction of the traffic. Find us on the next block on the left side of the street: Magallanes 570. There is a sign indicating Turismo Aonikenk and Hospedaje Magallanes. |
